Lace pillow

Made this pillow for Eva's bride yesterday.  It is made of deep purple lace and ivory satin fabric.  The flower is made with the lace fabric.
It is a beautiful pillow and the bride has good taste for color cordination.
Instructions were done according to Eva's request.

Ring Pillow

Made this pillow for Eva's bride.
It is made of satin ivory fabric.  Flower and pillow.
A deep purple ribbon is added to hold the ring.
I have made a few before this  pillow was approved !

How it looks on a real baby

This is how the dress looks on the baby.
I am so glad that they like the dress especially the baby...
Naw, she is chuckling because we are making her laugh.
Such a cute little baby !

Baby girl's dress

This little dress is made today for a sweet baby. This coming Sunday she will be having a baptism at her grandma's church.
It took me a few hours to tediously sew this dress. Cannot wait to see if it fits her well.
This pattern is made in the smallest size.
Oh and the bag was designed by me to carry this little dress.

Little girl's apron

This little girl's apron took me more time to make than i intended to. Cannot believe it is more difficult than adults' apron.
But it is a result that I am please with.
It is the smallest size of all the sizes in the pattern.
Planning to make a few more.....as soon as i get some cutezie fabrics.

Blue Apron

This is another apron that I had made yesterday at the sewing class.
It is made for people who are of medium size.
Big pocket in the center and laces wrapped along the edge of the skirt.

A new quilt

A quilt that I have been working on for the past few days. It started out as small pieces of squares. The more fabric added onto it, the bigger it becomes. Now it is like a twin size bedspread.
It has been a long time since I made quilts. Satisfied? Sort of. Wish i had better matching colors. Just have a thought on this. Quilts are like our lives. We started out small and as we live on, we add people or things to our lives. And gradually we have a lot, and our squares of knowledge, friends, possessions, and many others grow bigger.

This is a bag that Charm left for me.... so here is the completion of the whole bag in the front.
I was going to put Bridesaurus... but was afraid that the word is too long.
But I am going to do it on the back.

The right side up version

Here is where I totally got it.
But also learn some lessons from here. Although I have used red color for the main thread, the bottom thread has to be red too as shown in the heart.
Note to self.... make sure the up and down have the same color.

Terrible piece

Talk about trials that test my patience. This piece almost took all my patience from me. Half way through, the thread in the bobbin ran out. Then it broke all the embroidery needles that i have. (6 in all )
At the end, my patience almost ran out. I used an ordinary needle and "hah" it worked and worked even better.
Sometimes recommendation from the instruction book is not useful. Just go with your instinct.

Experimenting with a towel material

This is a dish towel. Hope you can read what it says on it... Derek's Charm.
For those who know the meaning....very good.
You are very wise. Don't think we need further explanation. It is quite an experiment to work on the towel material.
And I hope you guys don't think this is a fish. It is a dolphin.

Practice makes perfect

Well, I wouldn't say it is perfect as yet.
But it is getting better by the minute.
It is also fun to do this. I had sewn a pink flower and birthday words in blue. But all of a sudden the lower bobbin ran out of thread.... bummer !
So this is actually a repeat.

Another production

The embroidery machine is taking a hold of me. Makes me want to spend all my time with it. It is fun when you see little images appear as the machine goes..chug a chug a chug...
Those that I am practicing to embroidery is getting better. Yay !
I have also embroidered some letters.
Like this little kitty cat.
It is so cute.
It's amazing to see how the machine can do its work and va-broom....an image.
Makes me admire the person who invented this amazing machine.

Here is a duck and a flower

This duck is a little messed up. There is a choice whether to make it specific or not. And when the wrong choice is made, the duck is messed up.
This flower is a different choice. So it is continous.
Oh well, try till we perfect it.

Singer Futura CE 200

Ahhhhh, this is the embroidery machine that I will be buying now.
Someone was selling it for a reasonable price.
We are going to check it out tomorrow. And
if it is true that I will like it, then I am going to buy it.
I will pray that God will show me if this is the one.
Will tell you about it tomorrow.
