Lianne and us

Lianne and us at the restaurant.
Lianne has grown so much. We have not seen her for a long time and now she is a little chatterbox and fun to play with.
Cannot believe how time flies and how fast little children grow,
It was a fun lunch at the Mission 261 restaurant in Las Tunas. Sabine was baptized in a Catholic Church this day. 06/26/2011

Long lost friends

So excited to hear from our friends whom we have lost touch with for years.
Dr. Tat Low and Mary are our friends for since our daughters were babies. It will make us friends for almost 30 years. Our children used to play together when we were working in the hospital. And then we visited them in Penang when they went back there to work.
It has been a long time since we have seen each other. All of a sudden 4 years ago, we met their daughter. We kept in touch for a while (the parents and us) and then we were disconnected again.
Now 4 years had passed, she writes to me. Her 3 children are all here in the States and they are back in Australia. We will meet again in April of next year, because Selina will be getting married in Loma Linda. I have informed her that Eva is a wedding planner and coordinator should she need any help. Cannot wait to see them again.
So so happy !

Big sister

Here is big sister practicing to be a sister.
When the time comes for her to be a real sister,
she will be ready to help mommy out.
After all, practice makes perfect.
A day at a time. By November, she will be a perfect little helper.

Lover of trains

She is such a train lover. She has been longing to ride on this train. We finally gave her the ride. Such glee ! Such laughter !.
It is pleasing to see her laughing so heartily when she is on the train.
Someday, if possible, we would like to take her for a real train ride so she can laugh throughout the ride.

Happy New Parents

Here is Andy and his lovely wife, Melissa, enjoying opening gifts given by their love ones and friends.
This new baby is going to have tons of new clothings to wear and toys to play.
Don't forget the abundance of bibs... whew, I hope she doesn't need to use them all.
We want to wish Melissa an easy delivery on that special day when the baby arrives, and Andy a good helper during her labor. ( Let her scratch, pinch or punch you, Andy if she has to.... )
We wish you both happy parenting and don't forget the advices that experienced people gave you that day !

A step up

From a ice cream eating, messy face to a sophisticated young lady.
From rag to riches...just kidding. She totally enjoyed the Blue Bunny chocolate coated "no sugar" raspberry ice cream. So do I. It is such a delicious ice cream. No sugar ! And the raspberry is so yummy inside.
This little one loves sunglasses. Everywhere she goes, when she spots a sunglasses rack, she has to try them on. So vain ! But she looks good in almost every sunglasses. Wish all sunglasses make me look good too...but that is just a dream.
I just think she is so cute !

Sharing time: Jujube

One good deed deserves another. We often share our fruits or vegetables with our immediate neighbor who is family of quiet people. And they reciprocate often with the fruits from their garden too. These jujubes are the best I have ever tasted so far. They are so sweet and crunchy. You will want to eat them all in one sitting. What a yummy fruit !

My dear friend.

Ai Hoon and I have been friends since we were in our late teens. We are about a year difference in age. Both she and I are very quiet..except, she makes me look like a chatterbox when we are together. Both of us came from a family of all boys. We are same and yet different in many ways. We get along very well, and whenever we were together, I did all the yapping. She is very diligent and very sweet and is a perfect mother to her children. Her young daughter should be getting married sometime this month.
And I would like to wish them a very wonderful wedding and happiness at this time.
My best friend of many years will be somebody's mother in law this year. Congratulations !

My class

When we first visited this church in San Gabriel, there were only about 2 or 3 children attending the Sabbath School. A lady asked if I would teach the class and seeing that they have no teachers, I decided to take the job after much praying.
We were given a class of our own in the upper chamber of the church. With God's grace, children came in and at times we have 10, but regularly about 6 or 7. They were such lovable children and learned pretty fast all that I taught them. They gave thanks to God in church every so often and were being loved by the congregation. Children learn quickly and most of them are able to memorize long sentences when they are asked to. These children made me proud all the time. It is a sad thing to have to leave them. After my departure, the children also left this place. I wonder often if I did the right thing.......

Chuck, Sebastian's buddy

Chuck and Sebastian are good friends. Although they don't get to see each other as much as they like to, they remain as good buddies.
Whenever they are together, they are constantly playing and chasing each other.
Sebastian , though, gets tired a little faster than Chuck as he is a lot bigger.
Chuck, on the other hand is like a non stop battery. Look how he climbs onto Sebastian when Sebastian is pooped.
These dogs are such fun to watch and they have a lot of fun together.

Eva and her little boyfriend

Isn't he a little cutie? Little children have good instincts. They can tell easily who they like and who they don't like. Little Alex is very smitten with Eva. They have a good time visiting.
We cannot wait to see them again.. but we will truly miss them when they move out of California. Anyways, we want to wish little Alex and family God's blessings.
And do know that we are missing you guys already.
