Harvest time ! Kabocha

These two look the greenest. Guess they must be ripe now. So we shall have Nan Kwa tomorrow for lunch. The other one will be used as an experiment for the dessert.
We'll see how it will turn out. There are 3 more in the garden.
And we will see if they will grow even bigger after we removed these two. Usually they will becuz there is not much competition.

Growing older?

I am not sure if you could see the differences in size. But most definitely, the melon has grown bigger. And the color is changing to a deeper green. The others are growing bigger too.
This time, I am going to be overwhelmed with 7 nan kwas at one time!

Do you see a difference? Is it growing bigger?
I think the color has changed to more yellow and green. It has grown quite a bit.

no stopping progress 2

This is the 2nd picture taken the very next day right after the first picture. And this last one is taken today. See the differences in size? How they grow so fast is beyond my imagination. But I am glad that there is no stopping in this progress. If what we like to have or do can progress so quickly, will it be a good thing or a disaster? Mmmmm deep thoughts in progress...........

no stopping progress

This is the first picture I took of the pumpkins when they first got out.
And actually I had 3 pictures for comparison.
But somehow the pictures disappeared on me.
I need my computer consultant to tell me why.
But here is the picture of this one. The next 2 pictures will show how they have grown in size.

My new Nan Kwa plant

Guess what? Just as I had expected. My Nan Kwa or chinese pumpkin is reproducing again!
The last episode ended with me trimming the dead leaves and suspecting new fruits to grow.
True to my prediction, here they come. Not one or two, but about 5....( I stand corrected. There are 7 total) not counting those that are still very little.
I have learned a very valuable lesson from plants.
Correct me if i am wrong, but i know when you cut out or trim off old leaves or branches, brand new leaves or maybe even better ones appear . Mmm, I am thinking of our character. When we removed or cut off some bad habits, will we also get new and better ones? I sure hope that this will happen to my character.
But nevertheless, I am very happy to have so many more new fruits to share with others.
We are indeed blessed this year with our garden.... And i will use the same Bible verse that I had used before: When we love the LORD, He will bless even our lands. Thank You, Jesus !
